5. Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies- The mesmerizing daredevil that is Ja Morant. He has single-handedly shifted the culture in Memphis and has brought excitement to the league and the city. He is arguably the most explosive and exciting player in the entire league and has been playing at an MVP level for the Grizzlies who currently sit in the 2nd seed in the Western Conference.

Morant is currently averaging 27.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 7.8 assists while shooting 46% from the field. His reckless, unabashed style of play causes some to worry about some of his landings while doing his high-flying exploits when driving to the lane for a vicious slam or a jaw-dropping block.

He ranks 14th in PER (Player Efficiency Rating) at 24.4 and has a box-plus minus of +6 and a VORP ( Value Over Replacement Player) of 1.5. Morant is one of the most breathtaking players and athletes in all of sports, and his time to win an MVP will come sooner than later if the electric guard stays healthy.
