5. The Waltons

Regarding their achievements in the NBA, this particular family could have ranked much higher, but it is a very small dynasty, consisting only of a father-son duo. Bill Walton was the first pick in the 1974 NBA draft and won a title each with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Boston Celtics. He was the MVP of the NBA Finals in 1977, the league MVP in 1978, and the Sixth Man of the Year in 1986.

Bill Walton was also a two-time All-Star and made the All-Defensive Team twice. Furthermore, the Trail Blazers retired Walton’s number 32 jersey; he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993 and named to both the NBA’s 50th and 75th-anniversary teams.

To top off this extremely successful career, he sent off a very talented son to continue his legacy in the NBA. Luke Walton won two championships as a player in 2009 and 2010, which made them the first father-son pair with multiple championships rings each.

After retiring, he started a coaching career and won another title as a Golden State Warriors assistant coach.
