The NBA features not only many of the world’s best athletes but also some of the most talented basketball families. After all, it is not uncommon for a child who grew up courtside, watching NBA games their whole life, to aspire to the same goal. So, let’s take a look at some of the greatest families of NBA players.

8. The Bryants

This family is not much of a dynasty and also did not find much basketball success outside of Kobe Bryant’s career, but it is responsible for producing one of the best basketball players of all time. His talent and accomplishments are what earned the Bryants a spot on this list.

Long before Kobe Bryant upset the basketball world, his father Joe Bryant stepped foot in the NBA in 1975 as the 14th draft pick. Joe Bryant competed for a championship in the 1976–77 season with the 76ers but never won a title. He later went on to play seven seasons in Europe and eventually became the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks head coach in the league’s early days.

Following his father’s career, Kobe Bryant entered the NBA straight out of high school and lit the league on fire. He won five titles with the Lakers, was an eighteen-time All-Star, won four All-Star MVPs, two Finals MVPs, and the 2008 League MVP. To this day, he is still one of the best to ever grace the basketball court, even if the Bryant family dynasty ended much too early.
