After yet another loss, the Los Angeles Lakers are now just 2-9 and looking for answers as to how they got in this position in the first place. One thing is clear: this team continues to struggle to shoot from behind the arc, and their complete inability to knock down threes has put them at a major competitive disadvantage.

Despite being surprisingly good on the defensive end, they rank dead last in offensive rating, and that dramatically lowers their current ceiling, resulting in them being several games below .500. Another thing is clear: The answer to the Los Angeles Lakers’ shooting problems is likely not on this roster, and a trade is necessary to try and address that issue.

Roster construction falls squarely on the front office, which assembled a team full of mediocre shooters, somehow believing that those players would be able to hit shots around superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They haven’t thus far, but there are other issues too, and if we’re assigning blame, we’ll need to determine who’s most at fault. As a result, let’s take a look at the Lakers’ blame pie following their horrid start to the season.
