Few players have a highlight reel quite like LeBron James. With resounding success in every facet of the game, it’d be hard not to leave a legacy of legendary moments behind. From the famed chase-down block to incredible jump shots, game-winners and mind-melting passes, ‘The King‘ is truly one of the most flashy players in basketball history. Through all of his incredible plays, the money-maker in every one of LeBron James’ highlight reels is his array of iconic dunks.

It’s not often that a 6-foot-9, 250-lb man has the leaping ability that LeBron brings to the table. He’s able to take off from far away, finish with either hand and made the one-handed cock-back tomahawk slam his own. Through contact, on the fastbreak, or anywhere in between, LeBron James is a lock to rattle the rim with momentum toward the basket.

LeBron James superfan posts a thread of the King’s best dunks vs. every team.

Has there ever been a basketball player with such a die-hard fanbase as LeBron James? It’s certainly debatable! Among them is @BronsGoated23 on Twitter, who built a thread of the King’s greatest dunks against every NBA team. Among them are some of his most iconic moments of the last 20 years including his late-game slam against the Warriors on Christmas Day, some of the postseason dunks that began the ‘LeBronto’ era, and the iconic alley-oop over Jason Terry.

In his youth, LeBron James was a spectacle dunker. The superstar was unafraid to go up for daring jams against tough coverage — even when it was the wrong choice. Sometimes he was rewarded and at other times, he was humbled. But by the time he reached the Miami Heat, LeBron was the ultimate athlete.  Beyond the sheer athleticism of his dunking talent, LeBron threw down some violent jams while many considered him the villain of the league for creating a super team. This was likely the prime of his dunking career.

As he moved into his prime playing days during his second stint in Cleveland, we saw LeBron James attack the rim with a different mindset. He was more cerebral about the timing and impact of a big-time dunk within the flow of a game, using slams to energize the crowd and his teammates like.

Although he may not possess the same quickness as in his 20s, LeBron James is still throwing down jams that will help define his legacy to the masses. Many of his top career dunks have come as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers — the team he joined for his age-34 season. What he lacks in speed, he makes up for with power and finesse. These skills are used to navigate lanes to the basket for dunks.

In the grand scheme of his career, dunking was only a small part of the whole, but it’s also going to last in the memories of fans for decades after his career comes to a close.
