NBA Player #1: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Out of the players listed, Giannis Antetokounmpo might have the best chance to record a quadruple-double, given his dominance in multiple areas of the game. In fact, over the last three seasons, Antetokounmpo has averaged a stellar 29.2 points, 12.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. As a result, a triple-double isn’t exactly huge news for him, but his defensive prowess opens the door for him to record a quadruple-double.

Antetokounmpo isn’t a former Defensive Player of the Year for nothing, and his ability to both block shots and generate turnovers at a high level at least gives him a chance. Of the two, blocks appear to be the more likely fourth category in which he’d achieve double digits since his career high is seven in one game.

Historically, he’s been a better shot blocker, and his length, athleticism, and timing always make him a threat. On the other hand, he’s racked up five steals eight times, and a few more errant passes thrown his way or him guarding someone with particularly loose handles could be just what he needs to join a rare club that includes two all-time greats and excludes most others.

All in all, Murray, Jokic, and Antetokounmpo are the three players most likely to record a near-unprecedented quadruple-double. That said, it will require an incredible amount of talent, skill, and even luck to pull it off. Fortunately, all three have at least three of those categories covered; they just need the fourth.
