1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should demand a trade out of NBA purgatory

Tired of being stuck in a habitual rebuild with no light at the end of the tunnel, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should look to move on from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

You want Josh Giddey to have the ball in his hands to orchestrate the offense and make plays. You don’t want to take too many minutes away from developing rookie Jalen Williams. So, this leaves Gilgeous-Alexander in a weird in-between state.

He’s already a known commodity— the Thunder know what they have in him, but they aren’t in a spot in which they can compete with every NBA team night-in and night-out.

While he’s entering the prime of his career, the dynamic playmaker should seek a new opportunity with a team that’s ready to utilize his talent in a win-now situation. If traded to another team with complementary pieces and some veteran leadership, he could enter that elite tier of young NBA players.

Ideal destinations: Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets
