5. Steven Adams has the arm to play quarterback in the NFL

Steven Adams is a rather unconventional choice here because the New Zealander has almost no football experience and calls himself “a rugby guy” instead. In 2016, he and his former Thunder teammate Andre Roberson actually attended a high school football practice in Oklahoma City. Adams turned out to be a little clumsy on the football field, but the Grizzlies center has some serious quarterback potential.

First of all, Adams is incredibly strong, physical and can jump. Secondly, he has amazing vision and a passing ability that regularly makes him look like a quarterback who got lost on a basketball court. Adams is known for accurate full-court passes that are pretty much impossible to guard. Last season, he actually broke the record for the longest assist by throwing a 92-foot pass to star point guard Ja Morant for a buzzer-beater.

This level of accuracy and arm strength are hard to come by. He may not have the technical skills right away, but his raw talent is hard to deny. Listed at 6-foot-11 and 250 lbs, Adams would also be incredibly difficult to tackle when the pocket collapses.

Adams might not have much of a background in football but with the right training, he could have made for an interesting quarterback.
