The last Chicago Bull to lead the NBA in rebounds per game was Dennis Rodman in 1998. Fans in the Windy City would love for Drummond to be the next Bull to lead the league in boards and would be even more thrilled for next year’s team to achieve the ultimate pinnacle of success.

Last season, rebounding was not a strength for the team as a whole. Nikola Vučević averaged a respectable 11.0 rebounds per game, but his most prolific rebounding teammate was Lonzo Ball at 5.4 boards per outing.

When the second highest rebounder is a point guard who missed a large portion of the season due to injury, acquiring another big who can attack the glass is a priority. Andre Drummond is an experienced veteran who should fit in nicely with Chicago’s core. While his days of being selected for the All-Star team are long gone, he can still be effective and contribute to a winning culture.
