NBA Trades: 3-team trade would land Terry Rozier on Phoenix Suns: The teams

First and foremost, the reason for the Suns being in this trade has already been explained. They are going to contend for a title next season, so why not go all in?

They could definitely look to improve their backup point guard position, and trading in some of their wing depth for other pieces could be an intriguing idea as well.

The next team that would be getting involved in this trade would be the Charlotte Hornets. They find themselves in a very interesting position, as circumstances out of their control have set back their timeline.

Trading some of their veterans in exchange for younger players (and other players that could help them win now) could be a good way to go. It would help them get ready for the future while also remaining competitive.

Lastly, the third and final team that would be getting involved in this deal would be the New York Knicks. If they do end up trading for Donovan Mitchell, they would need to improve their depth.

This trade runs under the circumstance that they trade a different set of players for Mitchell and have these players left on the table in a potential secondary trade that would help them replenish their bench rotation.
