NBA Trades: 3 Talen Horton-Tucker trades to help the Los Angeles Lakers: Indiana Pacers

Lakers receive: Buddy Hield

Pacers receive: Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, Wenyen Gabriel, 2027 1st-Round Pick

The Lakers have been heavily linked to Buddy Hield for a while now, and adding him to their current roster would be a great move. His shooting would elevate their offensive game a ton.

Right now, all three of LA’s stars are non-shooters. LeBron James has become a solid three-point shooter, but none are known for their shooting ability by any means.

Having Hield on the perimeter would give the Lakers a constant three-point threat. Plus, with James’ and Westbrook’s elite playmaking, Hield would get more open looks than ever before.

Meanwhile, the Pacers would be netting a first-round pick, two young players, and one solid rotational piece. That’s a decent haul for Hield, who they just acquired in a trade last year.

Horton-Tucker would get a decent chance to reset his career in Indiana, as they could give him some looks at the wing position. He’d also have a lot more freedom to just play his game.

Nunn could be rerouted to a third team, as he could be a nice win-now piece for a contender, while Gabriel might have a chance at sticking out in Indiana’s rotation as a plus defender.

The first-round pick would be icing on the cake for the Pacers. LA would probably try to get this deal done with seconds, but Indiana would probably push them for a first, as other teams would probably offer one.
