NBA Trades: 3 Kyle Kuzma trades to help the Washington Wizards: Sacramento Kings

Wizards receive: Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes, 2024 1st-Round Pick (Top-20 Protected)

Kings receive: Kyle Kuzma, Thomas Bryant (S&T)

Starting off with the Wizards, this deal would help them remain competitive while also adding a (albeit, heavily-protected) first-round pick. Both players they would get in this deal would help them win now.

Barnes is a proven winner, and no matter where he does, he’s the epitome of consistency. He’d be a slight downgrade from Kuzma, but he also brings a bit more on the defensive side of the floor.

Holmes could step in and be the team’s starting center, or he could be a great backup if the Wizards wanted to roll with Daniel Gafford. Regardless, he’d be a nice addition.

Washington would also get a first-rounder in this deal, but it’d be heavily protected. If Sacramento’s pick ends up being out of the top 20, then something will have gone very right for them. And if it doesn’t convey, the Wizards could get seconds.

For the Kings, this trade would help them get a bit younger, adding two players that fit their current timeline better, led by De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.

Kuzma would fit in beautifully as a combo forward. A starting lineup of Fox, Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, Kuzma, and Sabonis would be a solid core for years to come.

As for Bryant, the Kings would be adding him in a sign-and-trade. At his best, he’s very comparable to Holmes, but he has the ability to stretch the floor a bit, which could help them on offense.
