The NBA world was just shaken to its core. It was reported by multiple sources that Kevin Durant has requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets and will be moved this offseason.

After the initial reports that Durant was pondering his future in Brooklyn a couple of weeks ago, it was finally made official today that he wants a trade away from the Nets.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports listed the Phoenix Suns as one of Durant’s preferred destinations, and Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report added the Miami Heat to that list as well.

Both of those teams will have great packages to offer for Durant, as will other teams around the league. Here are four trade packages the Nets should consider for Durant.

NBA Trades: 4 Kevin Durant trades for the Brooklyn Nets to consider: Miami Heat

Heat receive: Kevin Durant

Nets receive: Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, 2023 1st-Round Pick

Since the Heat were listed as one of Durant’s preferred destinations, they need to be included on this list. However, financially speaking, this is really the only trade they can do.

Technically, they could offer a package of Herro, Lowry, and other pieces, but that’s just not good enough for Durant. If they want to outbid other teams, they would probably have to part ways with Adebayo.

Whether or not they would be willing to do that is unknown, but it would certainly be the most enticing package on the market. Brooklyn would be getting an All-Star and a potential future All-Star for Durant.

Again, though, the real question in this scenario is whether or not the Heat would willingly give up their future for Durant. If they decide to, then this would probably be the best trade package the Nets would receive.

***The other note here is that the Nets would have to first trade Ben Simmons because they can’t have two players on rookie-scale max extensions on the same team.
