NBA Rumors: 4 teams that could steal John Wall from LA Clippers: 4. Los Angeles Lakers

Lastly, the Los Angeles Lakers should be considered as a potential team to pry John Wall away from their rival. With Wall being a client of Klutch Sports Group just like Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, it’s no secret that Klutch would be thrilled with the idea of another Laker client in Hollywood.

There were reportedly discussions of John Wall being traded to the Lakers in a swap deal involving Russell Westbrook before last season’s trade deadline, and Wall’s possibility of becoming a Laker will largely depend on the future of Westbrook once again. If Westbrook gets traded in the coming days or weeks, Wall would likely be more interested in the Lakers.

Although, if Russell Westbrook stays put, it wouldn’t make sense for Wall to be interested in sharing the main point guard duties while possibly coming off the bench. The Lakers will be interested in Wall either way so it will all depend on the All-Star’s values whether it’s the role, opportunity, contract, teammates, or location that he’s prioritizing.

Expect the Los Angeles Lakers to make an aggressive pitch to John Wall, especially since the All-NBA guard reportedly has the LA Clippers on the top of his list. It’ll be interesting which route Wall decides to take as an unrestricted free agent this summer, with the Clippers reportedly leading the race. He’ll have plenty of time to ponder his next landing spot.
