NBA Rumors: 4 teams that could steal John Wall from LA Clippers: 3. New York Knicks

It doesn’t seem likelier than other suitors, but the New York Knicks could emerge as a realistic landing spot for John Wall in free agency if the Clippers’ deal goes south.

The Knicks have long been reported of chasing coveted guard Jalen Brunson once free agency opens up, but Brunson will be a restricted free agent and will reportedly decide between staying with the Dallas Mavericks or joining the Knicks. If New York can’t acquire the 25-year-old playmaker, they’ll need to seek another option at the point guard position.

If John Wall has an interest in moving to New York, the Knicks could supply him with a lucrative offer to become the next star of the city. New York may not be legit contenders at the moment, but they would be able to offer Wall a glorious opportunity to be the “man” of the organization and lead a historic franchise with the up-and-coming talent surrounding him.

The New York Knicks could be Wall’s team. If John Wall admires the idea of that and the Knicks strike out in their pursuit of Jalen Brunson in free agency, New York could entice Wall with a substantial offer during free agency.
