NBA Rumors: 4 teams that could steal John Wall from LA Clippers: 1. Miami Heat

Initially, the Miami Heat should express heavy interest in John Wall heading into free agency. Wall would fit seamlessly into the Heat Culture as well as head coach Erik Spoelstra’s system.

It seems like Miami is one piece away from getting over the hump after falling one game short of reaching the NBA Finals last season, and Wall could certainly be that piece.

Kyle Lowry, who was acquired last offseason in a sign-and-trade deal with Toronto, was abysmal for the Heat in the playoffs, so it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see them pursue an upgrade at the point guard position.

Pairing John Wall with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo would form an intimidating trio of stardom, toughness, and urgency to win. Wall could consider Miami given the opportunity to contend for a title, have an important starting role, and live in South Beach where he often trains.

As the Miami Heat prepare to strengthen the roster this summer with eyes set on making another run at a championship, making an aggressive push for John Wall could be a serious scenario if the All-Star guard is open to the idea of being a part of Heat Culture.
