The New Orleans Pelicans seemed to be on the verge of another season where they were on the road to the middle of the Western Conference standings. They were not going to be good enough to make the playoffs, nor were they bad enough to get another high lottery pick.

Then they made the trade that bought CJ McCollum to the franchise, along with Larry Nance jr. and Tony Snell. They meshed really well with the talent already on the floor and helped the Pelicans qualify for the play-in tournament.

They then qualified for the playoffs through the Play-In Tournament and took the Phoenix Suns to six games in the first round. This was a really good result for the franchise which has been struggling due to not having their star player Zion Williamson thanks to multiple injuries over the majority of the last couple of seasons.

5 roster moves the New Orleans Pelicans need to make this offseason: 1. Move on from Tony Snell

Tony Snell only played 15 games for the Pelicans, starting two of them. He had very Tony Snell averages of 5.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 18.5 minutes per game. He was efficient like he always is with a slash line of .446/.396/.100.

This is typical of Snell, as he is a steady veteran who only takes good shots and defends at a high level. However, the Pelicans have a fairly good wing rotation with McCollum, Brandon Ingram, Garrett Temple, and Dyson Daniels, They also have a number of players who can play both forward roles.
