2022 NBA Draft: Evaluating the 1st-Round for all 30 teams: Sacramento Kings
Sacramento has the longest current playoff drought across all major sports (NBA, NFL, MLB), having last made the playoffs in 2007.
The Kings recently acquired Domantas Sabonis to pair with star guard De’Aaron Fox. So, Iowa’s Keegan Murray will pair nicely with these three as a wing player who can make the right plays as a third option.

2022 NBA Draft: Evaluating the 1st-Round for all 30 teams: San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs just barely missed the playoffs, as they went on a late-season run to attempt to score a bid to the NBA’s postseason. They ended up with the 10th seed in the west, as they lost in the first round of the Play-In Tournament.
The Spurs desperately needed a versatile, defensive-minded big man to integrate into Gregg Popovich’s scheme. They drafted Baylor’s Jeremy Sochan to solve this issue. He’s an elite defender who can also catch lobs and fit in well with an unselfish point guard, like Dejounte Murry.
San Antonio also drafted Malaki Brahnam out of Ohio State – an efficient two-way guard who will fit in well with their culture.
With the 25th pick, they selected Notre Dame’s Blake Wesley – a shot-creating, two-way guard who will add to the defensive intensity that is preached in San Antonio.

2022 NBA Draft: Evaluating the 1st-Round for all 30 teams: Toronto Raptors
When the Raptors are completely healthy, they are a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference with their plethora of wing talent. They did not have a first-round pick.

2022 NBA Draft: Evaluating the 1st-Round for all 30 teams: Utah Jazz
The Jazz did not have a pick in the first round, but they will be focusing on the potential roster turnover for this offseason.

2022 NBA Draft: Evaluating the 1st-Round for all 30 teams: Washington Wizards
The Wizards are in a saga where they are looking to keep star Bradley Beal as the cornerstone piece for their rebuild. They won 35 games this past season.
Washington took Wisconsin’s Johnny Davis with the tenth-overall pick to pair with their roster of elite scorers. Davis and Beal as a backcourt will be a difficult scoring tandem for any team that will have to contend with them.
