5 roster moves the Toronto Raptors need to make this offseason: 4. Re-sign Chris Boucher

One of the tremendous players that the Raptors have been able to develop is Chris Boucher. The 6’9″ power forward is a tremendous example of hard work paying off. He played one game with the Golden State Warriors in his rookie season before joining the Raptors in the next season.

Boucher was one of the shining lights for the Raptors in the season when they were not allowed to go back to Canada to play their home games. He had career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks per game while also shooting the ball very impressively.

Boucher’s numbers regressed last season but he was playing a different role. He has spent most of his career at the center position, but with the addition of Khem Birch and Achiuwa, Boucher played at the four more than he has since his sophomore season.

It is this versatility that is going to serve the Raptors well over the next contract period. If they can sign Boucher for about $10.0 million a season they will still have a decent amount of cap space to tempt quality players north of the border.
