5 roster moves the Chicago Bulls need to make this offseason: 3. Guarantee Ayo Dosunmu

One of the surprises of the season around the entire NBA was the play of the rookie Ayo Dosunmu. He played 77 games, starting 40 of them. Dosunmu averaged an impressive 8.8 points, 3.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.8 steals in 27.4 minutes per game.

Dosunmu had 32 games where he scored in double-digits, including three games where he scored over 20 points. He also had four games with more than ten assists and one game where he had ten rebounds. This resulted in four double-doubles for the season.

On the defensive end, Dosumnu was also impressive, having four games with more than three steals and one game where he had three blocks. As he develops, these numbers will become even more commonplace. Dosunmu is a player who puts his whole heart, mind, body, and spirit into every minute that he plays.

The Bulls were able to select him with the 38th pick of the 2021 NBA draft, and he was then signed to a two-year, partially guaranteed contract worth $2.5 million. Next season, his deal will be worth only $1.5 million, and the Bulls are not going to be able to replace his production for this value.
