5 roster moves the Chicago Bulls need to make this offseason

After finishing 11th in the Eastern Conference last season, the Chicago Bulls added some quality players and were one of the teams to beat this year. The moves that they made were measured and shrewd, allowing them to jump up to the sixth seed.

The first move that they made was to find a point guard. Lonzo Ball and the New Orleans Pelicans were unable to come to an agreement for a contract, so the Bulls sent Tomas Satoransky and Garrett Temple to the Pelicans for Ball. They then signed Alex Caruso to a multi-year deal, another X-Factor player who is strong on the defensive end of the floor.

They also sent Lauri Markkanen out for Derrick Jones Jr. in an effort to fix their defense. However, by far the biggest move they made was sending Al-Farouq Aminu and Thaddeus Young to the San Antonio Spurs for DeMar DeRozan. His presence on the court was one that helped lift the Bulls higher than many expected.

5 roster moves the Chicago Bulls need to make this offseason: 1. Pick up Patrick Williams’ team option

After a rookie season where he played 71 games, Patrick Williams was only able to appear in 17 games this season. While his raw numbers were very similar to his rookie season, Williams showed what a difference a quality team around you can have.

He was much more efficient in his second season, shooting at 52.9 percent from the floor and 51.7 percent from beyond the three-point line. This is up from 48.3 percent from the floor and 39.1 percent from behind the three-point line in his rookie season. The Bulls need to continue to develop Williams so that they can take the pressure off the rest of their offense.
