NBA Trades: 3 OG Anunoby trades for the Toronto Raptors – Phoenix Suns

Raptors receive: Deandre Ayton

Suns receive: OG Anunoby, Chris Boucher, 2025 First-Round Pick, #33 Pick 2022 NBA Draft

The relationship between Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns is reaching its boiling point. Neither party is happy with the current situation, and it’s looking more and more like Ayton could be moved this offseason.

Ayton will be a restricted free agent, meaning this deal would be a sign-and-trade, but it could work out well for both the Raptors and the Suns.

Phoenix would be getting another solid wing piece that is great on both ends of the floor. Anunoby could slide into the starting lineup in place of Jae Crowder and be a part of that core for years to come.

Chris Boucher would be a quality addition as well. He likely wouldn’t be the best option to replace Ayton as a starter, but the Suns could look elsewhere to replace Ayton in the starting lineup.

On the flip side, the Raptors would be getting another potential franchise centerpiece. As of now, they don’t have a player over 7’0 on the roster, so Ayton would be their go-to guy in the paint.

Having Ayton next to Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, and Scottie Barnes for years to come would make Toronto a lethal force in the Eastern Conference.
