Top 5 biggest snubs from the 2021-22 All-NBA Teams: 1. Jimmy Butler

It’s kind of absurd that no players from the Eastern Conference’s top team during the regular season made an All-NBA team. Adebayo had a legitimate case for inclusion, and so did star forward Jimmy Butler.

For the second straight season, Butler was the team’s most productive player. The forward averaged 21.5 points, 7.1 assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game. While he didn’t repeat leading the league in steals, he still averaged a healthy 1.6 swipes per game.

The forward’s versatility was on full display throughout the season. Butler nabbed four triple-doubles for the second straight season and ranked in the top ten of the statistic for the fifth time in his career.

Butler has become a magnet for drawing fouls, drawing more than 200 shooting fouls for just the fourth time in his career. He also drew 14 offensive fouls, the second-most of his career.

The forward’s biggest issue is his three-point shooting, a flaw being exposed in the playoffs. He knocked down only 23.3 percent of his attempts from three, but he’s still very efficient from two, hitting 52 percent. He also set a career mark with an 87 percent mark from the free-throw line.

His struggles from three also have not done much to limit his abilities on the offensive end. Butler has been one of the consistent league leaders in offensive rating and was again this season, sporting a 123.7 rating on that end of the court.

Jimmy Butler was the best player on the best team in an entire conference this year. If that’s not good enough for All-NBA accolades, what is?
