The 2021-2022 NBA season has reached its end. It was a fun and entertaining one, with multiple seeds coming down to the last game. We are now waiting for the results of the Play-In and are just days away from the start of the playoffs.
This leaves us a little time to discuss NBA Awards. This year has featured highly-contested campaigns for the league’s awards, which has made the selection of All-NBA Teams more challenging than usual. The league is arguably the deepest it’s ever been in regard to talent, which is why selecting the best 15 players of this season is no easy task.
Official predictions for all three 2022 All-NBA Teams
The All-NBA Teams aim to recognize the season’s most outstanding players. While it does not have the flashiness that the All-Stars selection has, All NBA is a more prestigious and influential award.
For instance, according to Spotrac, along with MVP, and DPOY awards, it is one of the criteria that allow players to qualify for Designated Player Extensions, more commonly known as “supermax” extensions. This has made NBA writers who vote for the awards uncomfortable as of late, due to the fact that their selections have financial implications that sometimes cost players tens of millions of dollars.
While selecting our All-NBA Teams, we will use the following criteria. First, teams will be constructed using the traditional positional format. For the selection of the players, we will take into consideration games played, individual performance, and team success. With that being said, here are our 2021-2022 All NBA Teams.
