It’s not only time for NBA voters to send in their selections for league MVP, as votes will also need to be cast for the All-NBA, All-Defensive, and All-Rookie Teams. Here, we’ll be taking a look at the latter, and predicting the first and second teams for the NBA All-Rookie squads.

NBA All-Rookie Teams Predictions: Locks

Evan Mobley, Cleveland Cavaliers

The front-runner for Rookie of the Year is, of course, going to be on an All-Rookie Team. He’s already one of the best defenders in the league and has impressed just as much on the other end. Write it in sharpie.

Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors

Also a lock for NBA All-Rookie First Team honors, Barnes has wowed from Game 1. With 15.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per night, he’s flirting with averaging a double-double.

Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons

Since a rough first week of the season, Cunningham has been incredible and is more than worthy of the number one pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He, Mobley, and Barnes are locks for the First Team.

Franz Wagner, Orlando Magic

There has been shockingly little buzz for Wagner’s Rookie of the Year campaign, despite the Orlando wing putting up fantastic counting stats. Hopefully, he’ll consider a selection to the All-Rookie First Team as a consolation prize for the missing ROY votes.

Herbert Jones, New Orleans Pelicans

Not only a lock for an All-Rookie selection, Jones might land on an All-Defensive Team as well. The stellar second-round pick has been that good on that end of the floor.

Jalen Green, Houston Rockets

If I made this list a month ago, Green would have been closer to the possible snubs section than the locks section. The Rockets rookie has more than played himself into a spot on at least the second team, averaging 22.4 points since the start of March.
