NBA Draft: Drew Timme improving stock in March Madness – Tournament

For the past two seasons, Timme has been the unquestioned leader of the Bulldogs, even with bonafide NBA players like Holmgren, Andrew Nembhard, Jalen Suggs, and Corey Kispert playing alongside him.

As of now, Timme is ranked 54th on ESPN’s list of best available players in the draft. There’s no guarantee that he gets drafted this year, or even that he enters the draft at all, but if he does, this tournament is his ticket to the league.

Through Gonzaga’s first two games of March Madness this year, Timme has averaged 28.5 points and 13.5 rebounds while shooting 62.2 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from deep (on only one attempt per game).

Timme’s play in the post is nothing short of incredible. The way he moves his body and can get to his spots is one of the most impressive things about him.

However, there are definitely some concerns when it comes to the 21-year-old. He’s not a great three-point shooter and struggles a bit on the defensive side of the floor.

Plus, who knows if his post game will translate to eh NBA once the competition gets a lot stiffer. Only time will tell, but a great showing in the tournament will help a ton.
