3 teams that should sign Mitchell Robinson this offseason: Oklahoma City Thunder

If there’s one team around the league in a position to overpay for a young player this summer, it’s the Oklahoma City Thunder. And while it’s more likely that they throw a bag at guys like Miles Bridges and Anfernee Simons, giving Mitchell Robinson a look would be pretty smart as well.

Despite having one of the worst records in the league, it’s clear that the Thunder are doing things right. They have some great young players – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey – and a whole host of draft picks.

Plus, while they may be a bottom-five team in the NBA, they still have the 16th best defense in the league. The offense isn’t quite there yet, and while Robinson would help mainly on defense, his contributions on the offensive end would be just as important.

The Thunder have two great guards in Gilgeous-Alexander and Giddey, and the latter of the two is already one of the best playmakers in the NBA. By giving him a true lob threat, they would be opening up even more opportunities on the offensive end.

Add in the fact that Robinson would make their already solid defense even better, and the Thunder should definitely consider throwing a bag at Robinson this offseason.
