The New York Knicks have been extremely disappointing this season. After reaching the playoffs for the first time in (what felt like) an eternity last year, it’s looking like they won’t even be a play-in team this year.

Julius Randle has taken a clear step back, RJ Barrett is playing well, but inconsistent, and shiny offseason signing Kemba Walker isn’t even with the team anymore.

It’s been a comedy of errors for the Knicks this year, to say the least. But in recent games, one real bright spot has been the play of big man Mitchell Robinson.

As soon as Robinson stepped foot into the league, you could just see how talented he was at protecting the paint. And recently, he’s been showing off that talent in a big way.

Over his last five games, Robinson is averaging 10.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and more importantly, 3.2 blocks a night. But what’s even crazier is that he’s putting up those stats all while playing only 26.9 minutes per game.

However, as great as Robinson has played as of late, his future with the team should be called into question. The big man has yet to be extended and will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

This means he has the freedom to sign with any team he chooses, and with how inconsistent his minutes have been at times this season, don’t be surprised if he chooses to sign elsewhere.

With that in mind, what teams should be throwing a bag at Robinson this summer? Who should be willing to overpay for the center’s services?
