3 NBA teams New Mexico State star Teddy Allen would thrive on: Sacramento Kings

As the perpetual joke of the NBA, the Sacramento Kings just can’t ever seem to get anything right. Even when they try to make a trade to push for the playoffs, they end up being even worse than the team they made the trade with.

Outside of Harrison Barnes and Justin Holiday, the Kings will be left with very little wing depth. Bringing in Allen to get them buckets off the bench could work out well for them.

Barnes will likely be in their starting lineup, and Holiday might as well. And since the Kings are very clearly trying to make the playoffs, they may favor bringing in rookies with more experience rather than younger, raw prospects.

Allen fits the bill of someone who can change the culture in Sacramento. Before they traded him, Tyrese Haliburton was going to be that guy, but now that he’s gone, they need a sparkplug.

With how much energy he plays with, Allen could be the perfect player for them to bring off the bench and give the team a joy of energy when they need it.

He’s talented enough to get them a bucket at a moment’s notice and hungry enough to be a part of the much-needed change in Sactown. The Kings should give Allen a look this summer.
