3 prospects who can boost NBA Draft stock during March Madness – Walker Kessler
There isn’t much consensus on where Walker Kessler will land in the 2022 NBA Draft. Some mock drafts have him near the lottery, some have him in the late first, and some have him near the middle of the second round.
While Jabari Smith Jr. is the unquestioned top prospect on Auburn, Kessler can solidify his spot in the first round and jump into the lottery with a strong tournament showing.
The sophomore center has the ability to change games with his size alone. He’s 7-foot-1 and almost always the tallest player on the court. He doesn’t let that length go to waste, either, dominating down low and on the glass.
Kessler is particularly strong on defense and you shouldn’t expect opponents to score much when facing Auburn. He protects the rim better than anyone in the nation, both with blocks and short-changing coverage.
It’s easy to see the North Carolina transfer dominate games with his size and strength. If he can string together a handful of impressive performances together and guide Auburn to a deep run, he’ll certainly boost his draft stock.
