Grading the top 10 picks of the 2012 NBA Draft: Terrence Ross – B-

The top 10 picks in this draft have produced a lot of solid role players, as you can see. Whether it be the freakish athleticism he used to have or the way he was able to carve out a solid career as a sixth man, you have to respect Terrence Ross’ game.

So far in his career, Ross has averaged 11.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while shooting 41 percent from the field and 36 percent from three. Similar to Dion Waiters, Ross has also had his own struggles with efficiency.

However, unlike Waiters, Ross was a bit of a late bloomer, not truly breaking out into the role player he is today until he was traded to the Orlando Magic in 2016. Since then, he has been one of the better role players in the NBA.

Whether it be his streaky shooting or the fun energy he brings on and off the court, there’s not much to dislike about Ross. Obviously, a player of his value is not worth a top 10 pick, however, this should not deter the fact that he has been a very solid player for the majority of his career.
