Grading the top 10 picks of the 2012 NBA Draft: Harrison Barnes – B

While Harrison Barnes wasn’t the best player selected by the Golden State Warriors in this draft, he has still been a very good role player for the majority of his career thus far.

So far in his career, Harrison Barnes has averaged 14.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while shooting 45 percent from the field and 38 percent from three. Keep in mind, however, that these stats are held down by his time in Golden State. If you take away his time in the Bay, he has averaged 17.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while shooting 45 percent from the field and 38 percent from three.

While there are no drastic changes to any of his stats outside of his scoring output, that is the biggest difference between his time in Golden State and any other team he has played for.

Barnes has been one of the better role players in the NBA during his time in the league, as he’s been a quality player on both sides of the floor. Yes, he certainly isn’t an All-Star-caliber player, but his career has panned out very well thus far. Especially as of late, as he is arguably playing the best basketball of his career this season for the Kings.
