The NBA season is in the home stretch right now and teams are getting prepared for the postseason. And while most teams are jockeying for playoff position, some teams have still found themselves involved in some late-season drama.

One of those teams is the Utah Jazz, who are currently sitting at fourth in the Western Conference. But despite another solid regular season, the headlines tell a different story.

For the last couple of seasons, there have been reports of a rift forming between Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell. And just recently, Howard Beck reported that teams are preparing for Mitchell to potentially request a trade.

If that does end up happening, there will obviously be a large market for Mitchell this offseason. But out of all the teams, which ones would be the ideal landing spots for the young star?

NBA Trades: 5 Donovan Mitchell destinations this summer – Miami Heat

For the longest time, the Miami Heat have been linked to Donovan Mitchell, in the sense that he’d probably like to play there. And while the Heat are notorious for being linked to everyone, this fit just makes sense.

Miami is good enough to compete right now, meaning Mitchell would want to play there, but they also have a bright future that fits in with his timeline.

The duo of Mitchell and Bam Adebayo would be one of the best in the league for years to come, and having Jimmy Butler around would help them win now, too.

Take into account the elite supporting cast they have in South Beach right now, too, and Miami seems like an ideal destination for the young shooting guard.
