3 changes the New York Knicks can make to save the season: Play the young guys

This is the main reason behind the frustration amongst New York Knicks fans at the moment, and also why Tom Thibodeau is constantly under a microscope.

One could understand why a coach would steer away from playing the young guys if a team is winning and able to compete, but doing so on a losing squad is just plain dumb.

There is no way to justify playing the likes of Alec Burks and Kemba Walker countless minutes if it doesn’t result in wins. As a result of that, promising players such as Quentin Grimes, Can Reddish and Obi Toppin are spending about 15 minutes on the court, despite their contributions.

It is perfectly reasonable for an organization to prioritize big free agency signings over rookies and sophomores, but Thibs has taken that to an entirely different level.

Give these New York Knicks a game any day of the week, and they will probably be defeated. The team is just a wreck at the moment. By watching a Knicks game, though, it is clear to the naked eye that the younger players are the ones most frustrated by these results, and the ones trying their hardest to change the outcome of a game.

Prior to the All-Star Weekend, the Knicks blew consecutive 20-point leads, which is definitely the nadir of this woeful season. Us Knicks fans have suffered enough. Please, Coach Thibodeau, no more Burks at the point in the fourth quarter.
