NBA Trades: 3 realistic Myles Turner trades for the Pacers – Minnesota Timberwolves
Timberwolves receive: Myles Turner, Justin Holiday
Pacers receive: Malik Beasley, Josh Okogie, Jake Layman, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2025 Second-Round Pick
The Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly had their eyes on Myles Turner for a long time now, and this deal would see the Indiana Pacers get a solid return, too.
For the first time in a long time, the T-Wolves have a serious shot at making the playoffs. Right now, they are sitting at the top of the play-in with a chance to earn a top-six seed.
Karl-Anthony Towns is having a phenomenal season, and putting Myles Turner alongside him would help the team improve on the defensive end.
Justin Holiday would also be a nice addition to the Timberwolves’ rotation. He’s a quality 3&D player who would help the team on both sides of the ball.
A starting lineup with those two, D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards, and Jarred Vanderbilt could be one of the most fun lineups in the league.
On the flip side, the Pacers would also get a decent package in this deal. Malik Beasley is only 25 years old, and although he’s having a down year, he’s shown some serious potential in the past couple of years.
Josh Okogie would also be a great player for the Pacers to take a chance on. He’s already a great defender, he just hasn’t put it all together on the offensive end yet.
Jake Layman would simply be in this trade to match salaries, and the picks would be nice for the Pacers, too. In this trade, Minnesota would improve their playoff chances while the Pacers would further their rebuilding efforts.
