NBA Trades: 3 Wizards trade offers for Domantas Sabonis – A veteran big

Another offer from the Washington Wizards in an effort to acquire Domantas Sabonis would be a similar one to the initial package, but with a few different assets. In this scenario, the Wizards would be sending out Montrezl Harrell, Deni Avdija, Corey Kispert, and their 2022 first-round pick.

Avdija, a 21-year-old forward from Israel, would be the main asset heading to Indiana, instead of Rui Hachimura in this proposal. The ninth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft could benefit from a change of scenery that gives him more opportunities on the court.

He’s got a unique craft about his game, has great character, a solid mindset, and promising abilities, especially on the offensive end. The Pacers could be interested in unlocking more of his potential.

Harrell is a tough, strong role player in the frontcourt that always plays with heart, grit, and determination. Although, he’s on an expiring $9.7 million contract, so Indiana may not see value in bringing him in for the remainder of the season just to see him go this summer.

Either way, Harrell could be included as just a salary filler in the eyes of the Pacers since his salary (or Thomas Bryant’s would work again) would be needed to make the money work in this deal. All Indiana should care about is the quality, young assets that they receive in any Sabonis trade.

This offer seems to be fair value and matches what the Pacers are looking for regarding a package for Domantas Sabonis, so this framework could be another realistic possibility for the Washington Wizards.
