NBA Trades: 3 realistic Domantas Sabonis trades for the Pacers: Washington Wizards

Wizards receive: Domantas Sabonis, Torrey Craig

Pacers receive: Spencer Dinwiddie, Rui Hachimura, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick (Lottery Protected)

This trade would send Domantas Sabonis to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Spender Dinwiddie, Rui Hachimura, and two first-round picks.

With Bradley Beal pondering his future in Washington, the Wizards are focused on doing everything within their power to convince him to stick around.

Adding a two-time All-Star would certainly help them on that quest. He would give them an extra punch on offense, and could potentially reshape the way they play on that end.

The combination of Sabonis and Beal should (theoretically) be enough to drag the Wizards to the playoffs. Would that be enough to make Beal want to stay in Washington? Who knows.

For the Pacers, they would get a solid veteran, a promising young player, and two firsts in exchange for Sabonis. Not a bad haul considering what they got in return for LeVert.

This package is very similar to the one the Orlando Magic received for Nikola Vucevic, except it’s arguably better since Sabonis is a younger, more all-around version of Vucevic.

Dinwiddie’s value can’t be very high, though, and he’d only be in this trade to match salaries. There’s a lot of drama going on in Washington right now, and he’s somehow at the center of it all.

Regardless, this trade would be all about Hachimura for Indiana, as he’s a nice young player. This deal would help the Pacers reset, while the Wizards would be making a desperate move to try and convince Beal to stay.
