NBA Trades: 3 Talen Horton-Tucker trades to help the Lakers – Oklahoma City Thunder

Thunder receive: Talen Horton-Tucker, DeAndre Jordan, 2027 First-Round Pick, 2023 Second-Round Pick, 2025 Second-Round Pick

Lakers receive: Kenrich Williams, Mike Muscala, Derrick Favors

Again, the time for flashy trades is over. The Los Angeles Lakers just aren’t going to be getting any crazy offers that would net them another star.

This trade, however, would definitely help improve their overall depth. None of the three players they’d get in return are amazing, but they could play some quality minutes.

Kenrich Williams is the best of the bunch. They call him “Kenny Hustle” for a reach – he’d provide energetic defense, versatility on offense, and some nice floor spacing.

Mike Muscala would be a great floor-spacing big for the Lakers to play with, and Derrick Favors would just give them a new, fresh option at the (otherwise struggling) center position.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder would get to take a chance on the young Talen Horton-Tucker. He would get the chance to play free ok OKC instead of being restricted in Los Angeles.

Plys, Sam Presti would get the one thing he loves more than anything else – draft picks. Netting a future first and two future seconds would be ideal for the Thunder.

That 2027 first should be especially intriguing for the Thunder. LeBron James will probably be retired by then, and who knows how good the Lakers will be. Overall, this is a decent deal for both sides.
