NBA Trades: 5 potential trade targets for the Cavaliers – Buddy Hield
Another trade target for the Cleveland Cavaliers could be Sacramento Kings sharpshooter Buddy Hield. With the Kings also one of the teams expected to make significant changes within the constructed roster before the deadline, Hield is reportedly available.
Buddy has been rumored in trade talks for a while now as Sacramento intends to move in a different direction, and a new home would be very beneficial for him.
With his elite shooting abilities and range, he’d be another one of those guards that would fit well with Darius Garland as a starter in the backcourt and complement the flexibility of the team offensively.
The 29-year-old out of Oklahoma is averaging 14.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and shooting 37.6 percent from three this season. If Cleveland feels that they need to prioritize an upgrade at shooting the most, Hield could be a realistic trade option.
Although, Buddy Hield makes around $23 million annually and is on an expensive contract, so sacrificing valuable assets to acquire him likely wouldn’t be worth it for the Cavaliers. Nevertheless, he’s still a candidate to pursue in these coming days.
