NBA Trades: 3 trades to save the Los Angeles Lakers season – Eric Gordon

Los Angeles Lakers receive: Eric Gordon, 2024 Second Round Pick, 2026 Second Round Pick

Houston Rockets receive: Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn

Sticking with Gordon, this next trade proposal from Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz is undoubtedly an interesting one for the Lakers to consider. Rather than the trade being centered on Westbrook for Wall, this would largely be focused on Horton-Tucker and Gordon, with some added variables.

Kendrick Nunn would make sense in this package due to his $5 million salary for this season and the fact that he is yet to play a game with the Lakers.

Fans have been patiently waiting for the guard to make his debut as he continues dealing with a lingering knee issue, but if they can move him for an impact player like Gordon, it would be a no-brainer. Along with THT, Houston may see Nunn, a former Rookie of the Year finalist, as a solid piece to bring aboard for the future.

The strange part of this deal might be the draft picks and which team is sending them out. It was reported recently by HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto that the Rockets are seeking a first-round pick for Gordon at the deadline, which makes it somewhat head-scratching that they are the ones sending out the picks here.

Nevertheless, if the Lakers could get this proposed deal done, it would make them more formidable, as Gordon could work wonders for this LA team.
