NBA Trades: 3 point guard trade targets for the Knicks – De’Aaron Fox

If the New York Knicks are looking to make a splash, a definite statement to the league, then De’Aaron Fox is without a doubt the way to go. And maybe, just maybe, this may be a somewhat realistic scenario as well.

Sacramento Kings fans, look away. This ain’t gonna be pretty.

The Kings are a franchise whose existence we question on a pretty much daily basis. They haven’t made the playoffs in the last 16 years, and almost every organizational move they make raises a ton of questions.

And if that wasn’t enough, the other night against the Boston Celtics, they scored just 30 points in the first half. The Kings ended the game with Buddy Hield as their leading scorer, who had only eleven points. Yes, eleven.

Fox is one of those players that just deserves better. Even though Dejounte Murray is obviously having the superior season between the two, one cannot just overlook Fox’s incredible 2020-21 campaign.

A trade for De’Aaron Fox is definitely possible, as the Kings have shown a tendency to trade away their stars after a few seasons. And after seeing the price that Leon Rose had to pay for Cam Reddish, could Fox cost even less than anticipated?

He and Barrett could be the league’s next best combo. Two explosive, young, talented guards that could take the New York Knicks to the promised land. It may finally be time to bring a true star point guard to the Knicks.
