NBA Trades: 3 point guard trade targets for the Knicks – Jalen Brunson

Browsing through the media regarding the New York Knicks, one may stumble upon many names that could lead the team’s offense in the future. Perhaps the most realistic one is Jalen Brunson.

The Knicks definitely have the right pieces to convert this laughingstock of a franchise into a dynasty. They have built a great core of young and talented guys via the draft and have developed them nicely.

Brunson is by no means a superstar. He will not be the one to carry this team deep into the playoffs or torch the opposing team with his scoring. However, he can do exactly what most members of the Knicks can’t do, and that is take care of the ball.

Playing beside Luka Doncic, an extremely ball-dominant guard, Brunson has gotten very good at making the best out of the chances he is being given. New York would get a ball-handler that won’t hog the ball too much and, in turn, won’t limit RJ Barrett’s scoring efforts.

Brunson has undoubtedly taken a leap this season. He has been averaging 15.7 points and 5.5 assists per game. On top of that, his efficiency has been a great “plus” so far during his short NBA career. All that Elfrid Payton PTSD should go away rather rapidly with Brunson around.
