NBA Trades: 2 blockbuster Jayson Tatum trades to shake up the Celtics – Sacramento Kings

Kings receive: Jayson Tatum, Al Horford

Celtics receive: Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield, Chimezie Metu, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2024 First-Round Pick, 2026 First-Round Pick

Any trade involving Jayson Tatum would be a blockbuster, and man, oh man does this one count as a blockbuster. Both the Boston Celtics and Sacramento Kings would be seriously shaking things up with this one.

For the Kings, they would pair Tatum with De’Aaron Fox as their dynamic duo of the future. They would obviously need to repair their depth after this one, but that’s a pretty good foundation to work with.

Everyone says that the Celtics need to get a point guard, but instead, Tatum would be shipped to Sacramento to play with a point guard rather than vice versa.

They’d also get Al Horford in this deal, who, despite struggling with his shot from three this year, has been a solid versatile big man for Boston.

Meanwhile, the Celtics would seriously beef up their team with depth. Jaylen Brown would transition into being the offensive focal point, paired alongside Tyrese Haliburton for the future.

Haliburton has shown some serious potential as a point guard, and he seems like he could blossom into that franchise guy. Plus, the Celtics would get two great starters.

Buddy Hield is an elite shooter who would definitely help patch up some of the Celtics’ shooting woes, and Harrison Barnes would do the same while also being a great two-way forward.

Chimezie Metu would simply be a nice young player for the C’s to take a chance on since they’d be losing Horford. Plus, they’d get two unprotected picks out of the deal.

The Celtics would never trade Tatum, but if they did decide to, this trade offer wouldn’t be awful. They could build around Brown, Haliburton, and Robert Williams with some much-improved depth.
