This time of the year is reserved for one thing and one thing only for NBA fans – trades. The trade deadline is right around the corner (February 10) and there will almost certainly be a ton of NBA trades that are done.

One team not expected to be in the mix, though, are the Miami Heat. The 29-16 Heat are tied for first place in the Eastern Conference and have been playing great as of late.

They have won 10 of their last 13 contests and are only one win away from becoming the first 30-win team in the East. So everything is all quiet in Miami, right?

NBA Trade Rumors: Heat “open to talks” involving Duncan Robinson

Well, according to Matt Moore of Action Network, that may not be true. According to Moore, Miami Heat forward Duncan Robinson could be available in trade talks ahead of the deadline.

Robinson inked a hefty five-year, $90 million contract extension this past offseason – one that the Heat could seemingly be regretting at the moment.

Before this year, Robinson had shot above 40 percent from deep in two consecutive seasons, both while taking more than eight threes per contest.

This year, that number is down substantially, as Robinson is only shooting  34.8 percent from three-point range. Not exactly what the Heat wanted from their $18 million dollar man.

Plus, the Miami Heat have another option they can go to. Robinson was recently taken out of the starting lineup for a stretch in favor of Max Strus, who is shooting 41.4 percent from three this year.

NBA Trade Rumors: What team might be interested in Duncan Robinson?

The question then becomes, what teams around the league would be interested in Duncan Robinson? Taking a look, a few squads come to mind.

The Dallas Mavericks have been shooting terribly from deep this year, and they could afford to take a chance on Robinson in hopes of him turning things around.

A similar argument could be made for the Boston Celtics, who have very little shooting around Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Robinson would fit into one of their many TPEs, too.

Other teams such as the New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Denver Nuggets could also stand to make an offer. Basically, any team that could use some extra three-point shooting might be willing to take a chance on Robinson.

What is unknown at the moment is what the Miami Heat would want in return for Duncan Robinson. Only time will tell, but keep an eye out for more NBA trade rumors.
