2022 NBA Mock Draft 1.0: First look at entire first round
By Corey Rausch
2022 NBA Mock Draft: 7. Jalen Duren, Memphis
With so many wings on the board (and already on the San Antonio Spurs roster), Jalen Duren would be a nice home run swing. The talent is clear for the big man, but the system he has been placed in at the University of Memphis has plenty questioning what exactly to expect from him.
There may not be a bigger change in situation from college to professional than Duren’s, and he would shine as a traditional big in this system.
2022 NBA Mock Draft: 8. Kendall Brown, Baylor
Finally, the Sacramento Kings do not select a guard in the first round. instead, they go with a Baylor prospect for the second consecutive year.
Kendall Brown is a high-motor defender who profiles as a dynamic slasher and potential lob threat for all of the guards they already have in place. The Kings want to win sooner than Brown is likely to be ready, but the potential is too real to pass up on.
2022 NBA Mock Draft: 9. Keegan Murray, Iowa
If John Collins is indeed likely to be moved, Keegan Murray is a nice possible replacement worth developing. He would pair well defensively with Clint Capela and could develop as a true secondary scoring threat. He has high character and is older for his class, meaning that he is someone who will be ready to immediately come in and impact winning.
