The Orlando Magic are currently coming up from a particularly low valley, as they are finally starting to get some long-term injury cases back. First up was Jalen Suggs, who has seen his rookie season disrupted by a thumb issue. He had some nice moments in a recent win over the Charlotte Hornets.

Markelle Fultz will surely be next up, as his return from an ACL injury gets closer and closer. Alongside Suggs and Cole Anthony, they will make up a fascinating backcourt trio with a high ceiling if the three are able to continue improving (or in the case of Fultz, get back to where he was before the injury) at the rate at which they have.

NBA Trades: This leaves Jonathan Isaac as the remaining long-term player to return, but at this point in time would you trade him if you could?

Granted, that’s like asking how long a piece of string is. It would obviously depend on what the offer was and how confident the franchise is that he is going to return to something close to full fitness in the not too distant future. Isaac recently traveled with the Magic on a road trip, an important step in his progress.

But with his ACL injury having occurred in September of 2020, it is fair to question if he is a part of the long-term future in Orlando at all. Isaac was drafted by the current front office, who recently got extensions to stick around and see this rebuild through, to what it is hoped will be a return to playoff relevancy or not.
