NBA Trades: 2 Pascal Siakam trades the Raptors should consider – Atlanta Hawks

Raptors receive: John Collins, Lou Williams

Hawks receive: Pascal Siakam, 2025 Second-Round Pick

Recent NBA rumors have revealed that John Collins is not happy with his role on the Atlanta Hawks. He wants to take on a larger role within the offense.

It has also been reported that everyone on the Hawks roster outside of Trae Young and Clint Capela is available for trade. So why not deal Collins in exchange for another power forward?

As of now, it’s easy to argue that Pascal Siakam is the better player, but it’s not by much. Plus, Collins is three years younger than Siakam, so he probably has more value.

That being said, adding a versatile defender like Siakam would probably help out the Hawks more than most people realize. He’d help patch up some of the clear defensive issues the team faces.

Meanwhile, this deal would be a steal for the Raptors. Sure, Siakam may be the slightly better player right now, but adding Collins would help them build for the future.

Collins is only 24 years old and would be able to grow with the rest of the core in Toronto. In addition, he’d be able to take on a larger role with the Raptors alongside Fred VanVleet.

He would also provide them with some needed three-point shooting, as they rank 20th in the league in three-point percentage so far this season (34.2 percent), and Collins shoots over 40 percent from deep.

This is a trade that would help both sides. The Raptors would get a bit younger and add a young power forward, while the Hawks would get rid of a disgruntled star and add a more defensive-minded player.
