The Ben Simmons saga has been going on for months now. Not him, nor the Philadelphia 76ers seem willing to budge on their stance regarding the situation, either.

Philadelphia seems hopeful that Simmons will one day be able to suit up for them again, while many on Simmons’ side of things claim that he is completely done with the organization.

Daryl Morey, the GM of the 76ers, has not budged on the fact that he’s looking for an All-Star-caliber talent in return for the team’s disgruntled star.

However, according to recent reports, the one All-Star-level player the team could probably get in return for Simmons is of no interest to the Sixers.

NBA Rumors: 76ers not interested in De’Aaron Fox for Ben Simmons trade

According to multiple sources including Michael Kaskey-Blomain of CBS Sports and Paul Hudrick of Liberty Ballers, the 76ers are not interested in acquiring De’Aaron Fox as the main piece in return for Simmons.

Fox has had somewhat of a down year this season, at least in comparison to his breakout year. His shooting splits are down, and he’s averaging fewer points and assists.

The Kings have reportedly made both Fox and sophomore guard Tyrese Haliburton available in trade talks ahead of the February 10 deadline.

Hudlick reports that a third team would have to be involved in any deal, while Kaskey-Blomain simply stated that Philadelphia would likely not be interested in Fox.

NBA Rumors: 76ers, Kings have discussed a Ben Simmons for De’Aaron Fox trade

These reports come not long after Chris B. Haynes of Yahoo Sports reported that the 76ers and Kings have discussed a trade involving Ben Simmons for De’Aaron Fox.

Haynes stated that the two teams were talking about a deal as recently as a few days ago. This would give the Sixers a new franchise point guard, while the Kings would reset their franchise a bit and assumedly build around Simmons.

These rumors and talks will likely continue on through the trade deadline, as it is unknown what is really happening with the situation. Will Ben Simmons or De’Aaron Fox end up getting traded? Will it be for each other? Only time will tell.
