NBA Trades: 2 blockbuster Zion Williamson trades that would shock the NBA – Atlanta Hawks

Hawks receive: Zion Williamson, Jaxson Hayes, Tomas Satoransky, Garrett Temple

Pelicans receive: John Collins, De’Andre Hunter, Kevin Huerter, Onyeka Okongwu, Jalen Johnson

Would this trade completely gut the depth of the Atlanta Hawks? Yes. Would the dynamic duo of Trae Young and Zion Williamson be one of the most electric in the league? Absolutely.

Young’s passing ability and perimeter scoring combined with Williamson’s dominance of the paint would be something to behold. With how young they are, too, they could dominate the league for years to come.

Obviously, Atlanta would have rebuild their depth, but with the two stars they would have, it would likely be worth it. (They’d be giving up a ton of picks, too.)

For the Pelicans, this would give them a bunch of young, quality players to put alongside Brandon Ingram for the future. Obviously, John Collins would be the cream of the crop.

His scoring abilities could be unleashed in a new city, as he’s reportedly unhappy with his situation in Atlanta right now. Pairing him alongside Ingram and Jonas Valanciunas would make for a deadly scoring punch.

Meanwhile, they would also be getting two young wings in De’Andre Hunter and Kevin Huerter, a promising big man in Onyeka Okongwu, and a rookie forward in Jalen Johnson.

Their starting lineup would look something like Devonte’ Graham, Josh Hart, Ingram, Collins, and Valanciunas. They would then have Hunter, Huerter, and others coming off the bench.

That sort of young depth would be greatly received in New Orleans. It’s the sort of core that Ingram can grow with, especially because (outside of Hunter) they’re all able to stay on the court.
