NBA Trades: 1 trade target for every NBA Atlantic Division team

Atlantic Division NBA Trades: Philadelphia 76ers: Tyrese Haliburton
The Philadelphia 76ers are arguably the most interesting team leading up to the trade deadline due to the dilemma they currently face with Ben Simmons.
After he requested a trade this past offseason following a playoff debacle, the 76ers have remained firm on their stance that they will not trade the guard unless they get a worthwhile haul in return.
While it seems like the 76ers will try to stay dug in until Damian Lillard or Bradley Beal potentially become available, one target they should consider instead is Tyrese Haliburton of the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings have been among the teams rumored to have interest in Simmons from the beginning, and it appears they are willing to get more aggressive nearing the trade deadline.
The Athletic’s Sam Amick recently reported that while the Kings would like to build the team around their backcourt of Haliburton and De’Aaron Fox, both players are now considered available in trades (subscription required).
While Fox is a more recognizable name due to his star status in the league, Kyle Neubeck of Philly Voice reported that the 76ers would likely need to move Fox to a third team to get the return they want, while Haliburton is someone they like in a bigger deal.
Although the 76ers already have a promising young piece leading the backcourt in Tyrese Maxey, someone like Haliburton could complement him and the rest of the team well.
The guard’s scoring, shooting, and playmaking are fantastic at 21-years-old, and he only continues getting better with each passing game. It will take more on Sacramento’s end to make a deal work financially and to Philadelphia’s liking, but Haliburton would be a reasonable target for the 76ers to acquire and finally end this ongoing Simmons drama that has followed them for months.
